Citing verses in inappropriate contexts

Fatwa number ( 16438 )
Q: I am a man from the desert, and when I meet with city dwellers and a discussion takes place, they embarrass me with this verse:
The bedouins are stronger in disbelief and hypocrisy
[At-Tawbah 9:97]
knowing that I am a Muslim man, and we do not associate anything with Allah. Please inform us, may Allah reward you, and may Allah reward you with good. We ask for an explanation of the verse: Are there any Bedouins in our time? And what is the difference between the Arabs and the Arabized Bedouins? Note: Knowing that we are followers of the righteous Salaf, may Allah be pleased with them all.

A : Many people make mistakes in this regard, such as citing verses from the Noble Qur'an in places where they do not belong, like confronting a Muslim Bedouin with the saying of Allah the Exalted:
The bedouins are stronger in disbelief and hypocrisy
[At-Tawbah 9:97]
the verse.
And Allah the Exalted says in the next verse of Surat al-Tawbah:
But among the bedouins are some who believe in Allah and the Last Day and consider what they spend as means of nearness to Allah and of [obtaining] invocations of the Messenger. Unquestionably, it is a means of nearness for them. Allah will admit them to His mercy. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
[At-Tawbah 9:99]
; therefore, it is not permissible for a Muslim to confront another Muslim and anger him by citing a verse in an inappropriate context, nor is it permissible to utilize Qur'anic verses in places where they do not belong. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
