The fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 7309 )
Q 5: Some presenters of meetings or shaykhs say at the beginning:
(In my name and in your name, I welcome the honorable shaykh), for example . Is that permissible? And likewise, what about one who says: (In the name of the people or the government) or the like.
A 5 : If the intention is that he welcomes the one who has come or is present on his own behalf and on behalf of those who appointed him to this matter, then there is no blame on him. But if he intends to use it as an opening instead of the name of Allah, then it is forbidden. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
