Raising one's voice above the scholars

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 21025 )
Q 2: Does the warning in the saying of Allah the Exalted:
O you who have believed, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophetيَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَكُمْ فَوْقَ صَوْتِ النَّبِيِّ
[Al-Hujurat 49:2]
the verse, apply to those who raise their voices above the bearers of the legacy of prophethood (the scholars), or is it specific to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?

A 2 : The warning mentioned, which is the nullification of the deed, is specific to the one who raises his voice above the voice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) during his lifetime. As for other people, whether they are scholars or not, they do not fall under the ruling of this verse. However, other texts of the Shari'ah have clarified what should be the conduct between people in terms of good
etiquette in speech and action, and giving each person the status that befits him, especially the scholars who are the heirs of the prophets. They have a share of respect and reverence that is not for the general public. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
