The Mother

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 3487 )
Q: I inform you that in the year 1369 AH, my mother and I were in an uninhabited area, and there was no one with us. My mother fell severely ill, which put her into a coma, and she asked me to cauterize her with fire, but I refused. On the second day, she asked me to do so, and I refused. On the third day, she asked me
to cauterize her, so I cauterized her with fire more than thirty times. I hope you will inform me whether I am sinful for that, and whether I have to pay an expiation or not? My mother has remained in good health from that year until now. I hope you will inform me.
