The ruling on treatment by cauterization and its consequences

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
My father is ill, and he asked me to cauterize him. After a while, he passed away from that illness. Will I be sinful for that if I did not cauterize him?

Answer:
If a son treats his father with doctors, or if his father asks him to cauterize him, and he verifies that this cauterization is appropriate, then there is no blame on him, and he owes nothing if he dies; because cauterization is one of the means of healing. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Healing is in three things: a cauterization with fire, a cut with a cupping vessel, or a drink of honeyالشفاء في ثلاثة: كية نار، أو شرطة محجم، أو شربة عسل
the hadith.

The intended meaning : The point is that if he dies after that, it is not said to be because of the cauterization; his appointed time has come. There is no harm on you in treating him, or in cauterizing him since he asked you to do so, or in bringing a doctor for him, or the like of that. We ask Allah to guide everyone.
