The claim that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was buried on the same day and that the Companions visited his grave while reciting the Qur'an at it

Q: I heard a shaykh say: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, they hastened to place his pure body in his grave on the same day, and they prayed over him in groups and groups. Then they would come to his grave to visit his shrine and recite verses from the Noble Qur'an to seek mercy for him. I ask you to clarify the matter for us regarding two points included in this shaykh's statement: First: Was the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) actually buried on the same day, or was he left after being prepared for burial until the leadership of the Muslim state (the caliphate) was determined in the hands of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him)? How long did that take, and when was he (peace and blessings be upon him) buried? Second: Did the Companions do what this shaykh mentioned after praying over the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), which is reciting the Qur'an over him and visiting his shrine to seek mercy for him?
A : The burial of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not take place on the same day he passed away, and it is not correct that the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) flocked to visit his grave and recite the Qur'an at his grave.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
