The Condition of Lawful Ruqyah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q 4: Large seals are made with verses, dhikr, or supplications written on them, some of which are specific for sorcery, some for the evil eye, and some for jinn. Then the seal is dipped in water containing saffron, and then the seal is pressed onto papers which are subsequently dissolved and drunk.
A 4 : It is not permissible for the one performing ruqyah to write verses and lawful supplications on seals that are dipped in water containing saffron, and then those seals are placed on papers to take the place of writing, and then those papers are washed and drunk; because one of the conditions of lawful ruqyah is the intention of the one performing ruqyah and the one being treated to seek healing by the Book of Allah at the time of writing.
