Sincerity of Action for the Sake of Allah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 15863 )
Q1: In some of my deeds, there is some showing off (even if it is little); and even
to avoid the anger of Allah upon me, I perform deeds that I feel do not please Allah. For example: I feel that I am going to the mosque to pray out of showing off, so to avoid that, I always pray at home , and by analogy to this, everything is the same. This is something that spoils my life. Knowing that I am a believer in Allah and a monotheist, and I do not abandon prayer, and there is no path to good that I do not walk in, my fear that Allah will not accept my prayer, fasting, and zakah from me is almost killing me. Answer us, may Allah reward you.

A1: It is obligatory for the Muslim to perform a deed sincerely for the sake of Allah, following the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), hoping for what is with Allah of reward and recompense in the Hereafter. It is not permissible to perform a deed for the sake of people and their praise, just as it is not permissible for him to abandon a deed for the sake of people. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
