Sincerity to Allah in Work

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Indeed, we offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, and they declined to bear it and feared it; but man [undertook to] bear it. Indeed, he was unjust and ignorant.
[Al-Ahzab 33:72]

A58: Sincerity to Allah the Exalted in deeds requires from the servant striving and patience, and firm belief in what Allah has promised the sincere, and not hastening for results, along with asceticism regarding this world and turning one’s gaze away from it when performing obligations and other acts of obedience. Thus, one’s performance of his obligations should not be a means to gain a share of the worldly benefits. He should always remember the punishment for one who uses his religion for his worldly life, as Allah the Exalted said:
(15) Whoever desires the life of this world and its adornments - We fully repay them for their deeds therein, and they therein will not be deprived. (16) Those are the ones for whom there is not in the Hereafter but the Fire. And lost is what they did therein, and worthless is what they used to do.
[Hud 11:15-16]

Q59: Is it obligatory for me to keep in mind sincerity to Allah the Exalted with every incident I move to, or is it sufficient for me to keep it in mind when registering for this job, given that my intention when registering was to obtain the monthly salary through performing civil defense work that benefits people?
A59: Rectify your intention when you join the work by keeping in mind that what you will do will be obedience to Allah and seeking reward. Strive yourself every time you move to incidents to keep in mind the good intention and seek reward from Allah, so that it may be multiplied for you in the scale of your good deeds and be a cause for the forgiveness of your sins.
