Q: My brothers, the Senegalese in Congo , have asked me to ask you about the following: (the sacrifice of the Tijaniyyah , praying behind them, and praying before the adhan
of Maghrib). We ask that you answer them with a clear title above their messages.
A: First: The sacrifice of the Tijaniyyah is not permissible; because they are people of religious innovation and beliefs of associating partners with Allah. Second: Praying behind them is not valid. Third: Voluntary prayer before the setting of the sun is not permissible unless it has a cause, such as the greeting of the mosque; for what is in Sahih Muslim:Sunan Ibn Majah 1249Sahih (Darussalam) , and as for after the setting of the sun and before the Maghrib prayer, voluntary prayer is permissible. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
