He bought a pigeon from Jeddah, transported it to Makkah, and slaughtered it there

The first question of Fatwa number ( 9854 )
Q1: I bought a pigeon from Jeddah , brought it into Makkah and slaughtered it in the Noble Makkah , and ate it with pleasure. Do I have a sin on me or not? And is it permissible to slaughter a pigeon inside Makkah ?
A1: It is forbidden to hunt or drive away the non-domesticated pigeons inside the sacred precinct of the Noble Makkah ; for it is established in the hadith of Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Allah has made Mecca, a sanctuary, so it was a sanctuary before me and will continue to be a sanctuary after me. It was made legal for me (i.e. I was allowed to fight in it) for a few hours of a day. It is not allowed to uproot its shrubs or to cut its trees, or to chase (or disturb) its game, or to pick up its luqata (fallen things) except by a person who would announce that (what he has found) publicly.
Sahih al-Bukhari 1833
It was narrated by al-Bukhari and others. As for domesticated pigeons and what is brought from outside Makkah by purchase or by hunting outside it, provided the person in the state of ihram did not hunt it, did not assist in hunting it, and it was not hunted for his sake, then there is no sin in consuming it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
