Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: From 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Baz, to the honorable brother / 'A. Kh. S. (may Allah keep him safe).
Peace be upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings, and after that:
I refer to your inquiry, registered with the Department of Scholarly Research and Ifta under number: 593, dated 10/2/1407 AH, which states: that you have a hen, and a hen that does not belong to you comes to you, and you ask whether it is permissible for you to take it?

Answer: I inform you that it is not permissible for you to take it; rather, you must notify its owner so that he may collect it or prevent it from being with you. May Allah guide everyone to what pleases Him.
And peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
The General President of the Departments of Research
