A man swore not to do something, then proceeded to do it

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 12880 )
Q: A man swore not to do something, then proceeded to do it , and this act is lawful, but he did it with the intention of seeking pleasure. Does he sin for breaking his oath? May Allah guide you to what is good and protect you from all evil, for He is the All-Hearing, the Responsive.
A: If the matter is as described, it is obligatory for the man to pay the expiation for an oath due to his breaking of his oath. The expiation is: feeding ten poor people, or clothing them, or freeing a believing slave. If he cannot find the means to do so, he must fast for three days, and there is no sin on him. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
