Q1: Is it permissible for a person who is at home and swears frequently to not perform expiation?
A1: Expiation is obligatory for a binding oath if the one who swore breaks it. Frequent swearing is blameworthy; because the necessary consequence of frequency is the occurrence of lying and the failure to perform expiation. Allah commanded the preservation of oaths, saying: , and He also condemned frequent swearing in His saying: [Al-Qalam 68:10] . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
