The sixth question of Fatwa No. ( 19051 )
Q6: A woman asks about this incident that happened to her. Another woman took her under pressure from the women to be with her, merely as a companion, to
one of the false prophets. The woman says: I went under pressure from the women, and I am not satisfied with this trip. While on the way, I sought forgiveness from my Lord and disavowed this trip. The woman with me took a wrong turn, and I knew the correct way but did not tell her, because I do not believe in that false prophet and I do not want to go to him. How does this woman expiate for this trip? Does the ruling of shirk (associating partners with Allah) apply to her? Does she have a repentance? Will her repentance be accepted?

A6 : She must make sincere repentance from this bad action and not return to it, because assisting a corrupter in his corruption involves one in sin, since going to false prophets and sorcerers is forbidden. Allah the Exalted says:
but do not cooperate in sin and aggressionوَلاَ تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ
[Al-Ma'idah 5:2]
, and merely going with her sister as a companion to the false prophets and sorcerers does not reach the level of kufr (disbelief), unless she believes in what they say. If she does, she falls under the general meaning of the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), narrated by Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said:
Whoever goes to a diviner or a fortune-teller and believes in what he says has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)من أتى عرافًا أو كاهنًا فصدقه بما يقول فقد كفر بما أنزل على محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم
Sunan al-Bayhaqi 15:740
It was narrated by the Imam Ahmad in his (Musnad), Abu Dawud al-Tirmidhi Ibn Majah al-Bayhaqi and al-Hakim, who said: It is authentic according to their conditions. And what was narrated by Abu Musa , who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Three people will not enter Paradise: the habitual drinker of intoxicants, the one who believes in sorcery, and the one who severs family tiesثلاثة لا يدخلون الجنة: مدمن الخمر، ومصدق بالسحر، وقاطع الرحم
Al-Mustadrak lil-Hakim 32:37

It was narrated by the Imam Ahmad in his (Musnad), Ibn Hibban al-Tabarani and al-Hakim , who said: It is authentic, and al-Dhahabi approved it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
