Ruling on going to sorcerers out of obedience to one's parents

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The question: He has a long question, the summary of which is: He has a sister who was with a man, and he divorced her because of her mother. Then, after the divorce, she was afflicted with a medical condition. Her father and mother forced him to take her to a person he believes to be a sorcerer. Since that time, he has been thinking about his situation and asks your Eminence to guide him on how to act, and whether he has committed a sin. May Allah reward you with good?
The Shaykh: Repeat it. We seek help from Allah.
The presenter: He says: He has a sister who was married to a person, and then he divorced her because of her mother. After the divorce, his sister was afflicted with a medical condition. He was compelled, because of his father and mother, to take her to a person he believes to be a sorcerer. At that time, he was afflicted with anxiety and began to think whether he had done a forbidden act, such as shirk (associating partners with Allah). He asks for your guidance. May Allah reward you with good?
Answer: Yes, that is not permissible for him. He has no right to obey his parents in what Allah has forbidden. Taking his sister to a sorcerer is not permissible; because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited going to fortune-tellers and asking them. Sorcerers are the diviners, astrologers, and soothsayers, so it is not permissible to go to them or ask them. And if his father orders him to do so, it is not permissible for him to obey him; because the Messenger (peace be upon him) said:
Obedience is in matters which are good and universally recognized.إنما الطاعة في المعروف
Sunan Abi Dawud 2625Sahih (Al-Albani)
And he (may Allah's prayers and blessings be upon him) said:
A creature is not to be obeyed when it involves disobedience to the "Creator.”لا طاعة لمخلوق في معصية الخالق
Mishkat al-Masabih 3696
.
So he should make an excuse and say: "O my father, this is not permissible. But let us take her to someone who will recite for her from the righteous: a righteous woman who recites for her, or a righteous man who recites for her without seclusion, or to a doctor. As for going to sorcerers, soothsayers, astrologers, magicians, and the like, this is not permissible. For it is not permissible to go to them, nor to ask them, nor to be treated by them at all. Rather, it is obligatory for the one in authority to prevent them from that and to discipline them, until they are deterred from practicing such treatment. Yes."
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good. As for the situation, since it has already occurred, how do you guide him? May Allah reward you...?
The Shaykh: ... Repentance to Allah, regret, and the resolve not to return to this matter. Yes.
The presenter: And in that case, it will be, if Allah wills...
The Shaykh: Because repentance wipes out what came before it. If the repentance is sincere, with regret for the past, abandoning the sin, and a sincere resolve not to return to it, then Allah will forgive him, (Glorified and Exalted is He). Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good. His anxiety is from the fact that he has committed this thing.
The Shaykh: If Allah wills, good is hoped for him in this. Yes. If a person is anxious out of fear of Allah and desire for what is with Him, he is upon great good. We seek help from Allah.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
