The One Compelled to Listen

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 4027 )
Q: What should one do if he is compelled to ride in a taxi or with one of his companions, and there is forbidden singing in it, and likewise if he goes to visit his relatives or friends and is compelled to listen? Please inform us.
A: It is obligatory for you to advise those with whom you ride in a car that has forbidden singing not to turn the radio on to the singing, hoping that they will respond to your advice and stop. If they accept your advice, praise be to Allah; otherwise, get out and leave them in their ignorance, to protect yourself from listening to what is wrong. If getting out is difficult for you for some reason, there is no blame on you for remaining in the car. As for those who have singing among the relatives and friends, advise them as well. If they respond to you, praise be to Allah; otherwise, boycott them to avoid what is wrong and its doers. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
