Q 3: , What is the meaning of al-Sard?
A 3 : Imam Ahmad narrated in (al-Musnad) and Abu Dawud in (al-Sunan) from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both):Sunan Abi Dawud 5267Sahih (Al-Albani) Al-Suyuti indicated it in (al-Jami' al-Saghir) as hasan (good). And the meaning of al-Sard is: a bird larger than a sparrow. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
Q 3:
The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited the killing of four: the bee, the ant, the hoopoe, and the sard.
نهى الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم عن قتل أربعة: النحل والنمل والهدهد والصردA 3 : Imam Ahmad narrated in (al-Musnad) and Abu Dawud in (al-Sunan) from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both):
The Prophet (ﷺ) prohibited to kill four creatures: ants, bees, hoopoes, and sparrow-hawks.
نهى رسول الله عن قتل أربع من الدواب: النملة والنحلة والهدهد والصرد
