Fatwa No. ( 13278 )
Q: A woman vowed to fast three days every month, and sometimes this conflicts with menstruation or childbirth, is she required to make up the fasts after becoming pure, or not?
A: It is obligatory for the woman who vowed to fast three days every month to fast them; because it is a vow of obedience. If fasting becomes difficult for her in a month due to childbirth or the like, she must make them up; because it is obligatory fasting by vow. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
