A 2: If the matter is as described, this is a vow of obedience. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Sunan Ibn Majah 2126Sahih (Darussalam) . If the menstrual period coincides with the white days, she should fast three days in their place once she is purified from menstruation; because she has obligated herself to fast these days, and where there is a barrier to fasting from the perspective of the Lawgiver, she moves to the substitute, just as with the obligatory fasting imposed by Allah, which is Ramadan, and the servant is the cause, like the expiation fasts if the menstrual period intervenes. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
