Dutifulness to parents after their death

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 8256 )
Q 2: Is it permissible to be dutiful to one’s parents after their death?
A 2: The Sunnah indicates the prescription of being dutiful to one’s parents after their death; by making du'a' for them, fulfilling their wasiyyah, maintaining the family ties that can only be maintained through them, and honoring their friends. In (Sunan Abu Dawud ), it is narrated from Abu Usayd al-Sa'idi - may Allah be pleased with him - who said:
While we were sitting with the Messenger of Allah - peace and blessings be upon him - a man from Banu Salim came to him and said: O Messenger of Allah, is there any dutifulness to my parents remaining by which I can be dutiful to them after their death? He said: Yes: praying for them, seeking forgiveness for them, fulfilling their covenant after them, maintaining the family ties that can only be maintained through them, and honoring their friends.
.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
