The second question of Fatwa number ( 15902 )
Q2: I inform you that my mother chose a wife for me, and I accepted her and married her. After five months, problems arose, which led to my mother expelling my wife from the house, and she also expelled me from the house. She took my belongings out into the street in front of passersby and did not value me. I was forced to leave the house, rented a house, and I sat in it with my wife.
Allah blessed me with two children, and Allah blessed me with a loan grant from the Real Estate Development Fund, and I built a house. When it was finished, my family—meaning my mother, my three brothers, and my brother’s wife—asked me to let them live with me. I refused because they have a house that belongs to them in my mother’s name, with two floors, and out of fear of problems. Will I be sinful? May Allah reward you with good.
A2: It is not obligatory for you to let your mother and your brothers live with you as long as they have a residence that is sufficient for them, especially since you fear that the problems that occurred between them and your wife will recur. However, treat them well with kindness and maintain family ties, even if they do not live with you. And Allah knows best. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
