Fatwa number ( 20633 )
Q: I have married sons who live in my other house adjacent to mine, and they do not pray Fajr with the Muslims in the mosque. They are employed and have
salaries, and I have advised them repeatedly, but they do not listen to me. What should I do with them? Is it obligatory to expel them from the house because it is mine? Please inform us. May Allah reward you with good.
A: It is obligatory for you to compel your sons to pray. If they refuse, it is obligatory for you to expel them from your house; because they are able to be independent, while continuing to advise them, and reporting them to the Committee for Promoting Virtue and Forbidding Vice so that they can help you with them; perhaps Allah will guide them. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
