She has an apartment she owns and wants to sell, but her mother refuses

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 21606 )
Q: She has an apartment that she owns, and she was renting it out, but it became clear to her that the people renting it are committing some wrongdoings in it , so she decided to sell it to pay off her debts and invest the remaining value in ways that have no ‌‌
doubt in them, and that would bring her a profit to meet her needs, but her mother opposes her selling it. So should she sell it?

A: It is permissible for you to sell the building that is your property, provided there is no claim on it by anyone, such as a mortgage or the like, and to dispose of its sale price. It is also permissible for you to keep it and rent it to someone who does not use it for sins. Your mother has no right to object to you in this matter. We advise you to be gentle, to soften your speech with her, to convince her in an appropriate manner, and not to be harsh in your speech with her. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
