Cursing their grandfather and their uncle

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 9536 )
Q: There is a man in the village where I live who has children, and these children constantly repeat on their tongues a description that the Lord, Mighty and Majestic, does not approve of, nor does the Shari'ah, custom, or the law approve of it. It is the continuous cursing in the presence of their father
of their uncle and their deceased grandfather, knowing that these children eat from their grandfather's wealth. I wish to be given a fatwa and the Shari'ah ruling on one who is in this state. May Allah grant you a long life, and guide you and set your steps aright.

A: The cursing of these children of their grandfather and their uncle is forbidden by the Shari'ah, and it is forbidden for their father to remain silent about it; because of the cursing of a specific person, and because of the severing of family ties and the mistreatment of relatives. They must repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness, so that He may accept their repentance. They should pray for their grandfather and their uncle, and be kind to the living among them, which counts as maintaining family ties, and seek forgiveness for them. And you should advise them, so that they may accept the advice and respond to your admonition. We ask Allah for success for everyone. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
