What is required of fathers and mothers toward their children, and of children toward their fathers

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 9405 )
Q 4: The family is one: what is required of children toward their parents, and what is required of fathers and mothers toward their children, and what is required of the younger ones toward their older siblings, and what is required of the older ones toward the younger ones, in terms of
proper conduct, in terms of interaction, in terms of respect and appreciation, and what does Islam advise? How should each member of the family act toward the other?

A 4: It is obligatory for parents to advise their children and discipline them with the manners of Islam, and it is obligatory for the children to listen to their parents' advice, to obey them in what is right, to be dutiful to them, and to conduct themselves with them according to the manners of Islam. The younger should respect and honor the older, and the older should show compassion to the younger. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
