Q: I married a woman named Aisha, and she bore me three children. She has an older sister named Fatima, who is married and has given birth to a daughter. I was eight or nine years old, and her breast had a lot of milk, so she asked me to suckle it and draw it out of her breast into a cup, claiming that I did what she asked.
Then she gave birth to a boy after a while, and the same thing happened to her regarding the abundance of milk in her breast, except that the second time I was sleeping at night—as she claims—and she woke me up and asked me to suckle the milk and draw it out of her breast. However, this time I was sleeping, and the milk leaked into my stomach more than what I expelled into the cup, as they claim. I suckled more than ten times. Her younger sister is my current wife, and I have three children from her. Question: Is my marriage to her sister Aisha valid or not? And do her children become my siblings through breastfeeding or not? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.
A: If the matter is as mentioned, then your suckling from the woman Fatima does not establish prohibition; because your age at the time of suckling was eight or nine years as you mentioned in the question, and the period of suckling that establishes prohibition is the two years; for Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Baqarah 2:233] , and accordingly, the suckling you mentioned has no effect and no prohibition.
