Placing a piece of cloth around which people gather and repeat "Allah, Allah"
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa number ( 16099 )
Q 3: Here in some mosques, a piece of white cloth is placed, and people gather around it and repeat the phrase: "Allah, Allah." What is the value of this white cloth in Islam?
A 3: Placing a piece of cloth in the mosque, people gathering around it, and repeating the word "Allah, Allah" — all of this is among the misleading religious innovations, and among the practices of the deviant Sufis who have strayed from the methodology of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Therefore, it is not permissible to do this, nor
to attend it. It is obligatory to prevent it, declare it wrong, and protect the mosques from these innovative practices. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
