The Repentance of the Thief
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of fatwa number ( 4312 )
Q2: If a person steals money, then wants to repent and returns the money to its owner without the owner’s knowledge , what is the ruling on his repentance?
A2: If the situation is as you described, and he is sincere in his repentance, regrets what happened, and resolves not to return to it, then his repentance is valid, and the fact that the one from whom it was stolen does not know what was returned to him of his money does not harm his repentance. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
