Killing people in the name of war with his tribe

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 1842 )
Q: An elderly man sought my fatwa, saying: In the early days of the establishment of the Saudi state in this region, the shaykh of his tribe asked the Amir of Bisha at that time for permission to raid Tihama , and he granted it. Then the shaykh of his tribe called them out to go forth, so he went out, and fighting occurred between them and the people of Tihama , and four people were killed from among them. He alone killed a man from Tihama in that battle . I asked him about his motive for going out, and he answered that he went out with his tribe
at the request of his shaykh, with the intention of fighting the people of Tihama and subduing them. He asks what will absolve his conscience, so I hope for your guidance.

A: If the situation is as described, the most cautious course for this questioner is to seek forgiveness from Allah and repent to Him, and to increase in righteous deeds; perhaps Allah will forgive him and accept his repentance. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
