The second question of Fatwa No. ( 7643 )
Q 2: Is it possible to supplicate with various expressions, whether they are declarative or optative?
A 2 , it is prescribed to supplicate to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) and ask Him with any expression, as long as it does not contain sin or severing of family ties, whether it is with optative expressions of request, such as saying: “O Allah, forgive so-and-so,” or with declarative expressions that the supplicant envisions, such as saying: “May Allah have mercy on so-and-so” or “May Allah forgive so-and-so.” And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
