The second question of Fatwa No. ( 20383 )
Q 2: It is a custom among us in the Bedouin dialect to say: "May your father have no mercy," or "May your father not be resurrected." When we are angry with others, we say: "May your mother and father be in the Fire," and we say: "May your parents have no mercy." I ask your Eminence to issue a ruling on these phrases: are they permissible or forbidden?
A 2: It is obligatory to abandon these phrases because they involve transgressing against others through supplication. Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, says:[Al-Baqarah 2:190] ,
and He, Glorified and Exalted is He, says:[Al-Baqarah 2:83] . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
