The seventh question of Fatwa number ( 5611 )
Q 7: If someone spoke to you before greeting you, is it obligatory for you to respond to him or not?
A 7: It is obligatory for me to respond to him, and then I should guide him to the fact that the Sunnah is for a Muslim to begin with his brother by greeting him, and then to speak with him about whatever he wishes. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
