Q6: Is it permissible for a man to pray in a light garment , such as the plastic clothes that are widespread among the youth here, while wearing short trousers underneath, such that an observer can distinguish the end of the trousers, which is well above the knee?
A6: If the garment worn by the one praying is thick and does not reveal the skin - then it is permissible to pray in it, even if the edge of the trousers is visible from behind it, and if
it reveals the skin in the area of the 'awrah, then the prayer is not permissible. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
