Wearing the Pants to Avoid Harm
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The seventh question of Fatwa No. ( 2757 )
Q7: Is the merchant who wears the pants of the Christians to protect himself from the harm of customs officers and police , and this was not his usual habit, but rather out of concern for his wealth and protection of his honor, because wearing them is more respected by them than other clothing, is he thereby an associate of partners with Allah or a sinner?
A7: If he wears them for the reason mentioned in the question, then there is nothing wrong with that, and he does not become an associate of partners with Allah or a sinner by this action; due to the benefit he realizes
and the harm he averts. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
