Forgery of the manager's signature to obtain a raise
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 20626 )
Q1: A man who is an employee in one of the government departments says: A raise in salaries was granted to one of the departments in that administration, and the others requested to be treated equally in this regard. The manager of that administration refused to treat them equally. So, those who were not granted that raise submitted a request letter to the competent authorities, and they forged the manager's signature without his knowledge. By that request, the raise was granted to them just as it was to the first group, and they are still receiving it. This man regrets his action, but he is afraid of the responsibility if he reports it. So he asks: Is this raise lawful or forbidden, and what should he do
if it is forbidden?
Vol. 1: What was mentioned in the question is a form of forgery and lying in order to take money by right, and it is severely forbidden, and no money taken by means of it is lawful. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
