Falsehood

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 8811 )
Q3: I have a residence that I built ten years ago. When I went to the court to request a title deed for the house, the judge asked me to specify the duration. If I tell him that I built it in 1382 AH, I get the deed, but if I inform him of the truth that it was built in 1392 AH, I do not get the deed. The land on which the residence is located is where our fathers and grandfathers lived, but in old houses.
A3: In reality, if you say it was built in 1382 AH when it was built in 1392 AH, your statement is a lie, and your witnesses to this are false witnesses. Therefore, it is not permissible for you to do so; rather, it is forbidden (haram) due to the evidence regarding lying and speaking falsehood. It is obligatory for you to state the reality as it is.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
