Q: I submit this question to your esteemed presence: it is that I am about to seek, with Allah’s permission, a license to export wheat
or flour or Saudi cement to one of the countries, knowing that I will sell this license, with Allah’s permission, for a large sum, since it is not granted except to some of those whom the authority deems fit, and my effort is to obtain the aforementioned license by writing to the High Authority and following up on it personally. My question, may Allah preserve you: What is the ruling on this action? And if the ruling is that it is not permissible, I ask that you clarify the matter further so that my heart may be at ease? May Allah reward your efforts, bless your endeavors, multiply your reward, and benefit the Muslims with your knowledge.
A: This action is not permissible because of the many evils and various harms that result from it, so it is obligatory to abandon it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
