Q1: A man has a son who is deformed and mentally retarded, as doctors call it, and as it is commonly referred to as (muhbul). Throughout this son's life, he has been a burden on his parents, causing them harm. Now he has reached the age of maturity, and a great calamity has appeared in him: Allah has afflicted him with strong sexual desire. When a visitor comes to his home, he exposes his private parts, and his genitals and thick pubic hair become visible—may Allah protect you. He has also become a danger threatening his younger sisters, who might be defiled while they are sleeping, or his mother, whom he has repeatedly tried to undress while she was sleeping. Despite this, his father was forced to chain him with an iron chain that allows him to move only to and from the restrooms. However, despite the chain, he still poses a danger whenever a woman passes in front of him, no matter who she is. It is known that his father has tried to treat him since his birth and has not left any door through which he hoped for a cure without knocking on it, even care facilities refused to accept him. Now, O honorable Shaykh, is it permissible for his father to castrate him? Please issue a ruling, may Allah reward you with good.
Vol. 1 : The father of the aforementioned son should take his son to the hospital to receive treatment that eliminates or weakens the desire. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
