Settling in a separate residence away from fitnah (trial, discord or temptation)

Fatwa number ( 13534 )
Q: I am a Muslim young man who is committed to my religion, praise be to Allah, and I recently got married. I live with my family in one house, and I have married brothers. My brothers' wives are not committed to the Islamic dress; in fact, one of my brothers hit his wife when he found her wearing the hijab and she took it off. My mother treats my wife with extreme harshness and cruelty, and wrongs her in food and drink. They consume riba (usury or interest) in most of their dealings. I have advised them in all these matters, but the advice has not been accepted, and I have advised them many times... etc. What angers Allah; such as abandoning prayer and insulting the religion. So, is it permissible for me to settle in a separate residence and live independently, on the condition that I treat my family with kindness to the extent of my ability?
And I ask Allah to make me dutiful to my family. What is your opinion? Please issue a ruling for us, may you be rewarded, via mail, and may Allah reward you with good and bless you.
A : If the matter is as you mentioned, it is permissible for you to settle in a separate residence, away from fitnah (trial, discord or temptation). You must treat your family with kindness to the extent of your ability, in terms of money, visiting, good speech, good deeds, and refraining from harming them in word or deed. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
