Dough that is claimed to make a woman bear children

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 18730 )
Q: My eldest sister has been married for eight years, and she is in a state of not bearing children; she has not been granted the adornment of worldly life. Neither doctors nor herbs nor anything else has been of any benefit to her. She is now about to be treated with something strange that I have doubted. It consists of something like cooked dough (like a loaf) that my sister drinks daily, just as a plant is watered. Each time, one like it grows on it, just as fruits grow (i.e., another dough), and my sister gives it to a woman suffering from infertility every fifteen days. The rest of them, after the distribution is finished after a certain period, leave her with one, which she takes for herself, and I do not know what she does with it. O venerable Shaykh, is this true? Knowing that this dough came to her from one of the people who claim that they brought it from the place of Hajj, i.e., from the sacred precincts. What is your opinion of this?

A: The process of the dough that your sister performs in order to achieve pregnancy is invalid and has no basis. It must be abandoned, and one should rely upon Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), make supplication, and seek treatment from doctors with permissible treatment,
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out (3) And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for himوَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ مَخْرَجًا (2) وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لاَ يَحْتَسِبُ وَمَنْ يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ
[At-Talaq 65:2-3]
. The occurrence of children or their non-occurrence is all subject to the divine decree and will of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). Allah the Exalted said:
He gives to whom He wills female [children], and He gives to whom He wills males. (50) Or He makes them [both] males and females, and He renders whom He wills barren. Indeed, He is Knowing and Competent.
[Ash-Shuraa 42:49-50]
. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
