He asked me, by Allah, to let him off before his home, but I insisted on taking him all the way to his house

Fatwa number ( 21401 )
Q: I went to a man’s house to drop off a passenger who was with me in my car. When we got close to that man’s house, he asked me, by Allah — that is, he asked me, by Allah — to let him off before his house because there is a very steep hill
It was very difficult, but I insisted on taking him to his home, and I actually did take him there. So what is the ruling regarding that? And also, what is the ruling regarding the passenger? Please inform us, may Allah reward you and benefit us with your knowledge.
A: There is nothing on you regarding what you mentioned; rather, we hope for you a reward from Allah, because you did him a favor by taking him to his house. May Allah reward you with good. There is also nothing on the passenger, because what came from him does not count as an oath. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
