Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 20770 )
Q 2: My father is mute, and he is the one who slaughters the 'Id sacrifice for us. Should I mention the name of Allah the Exalted on the sacrifice on his behalf?
A 2 : A mute person mentions the name of Allah on the sacrificial animal to the best of his ability and according to the intention in his heart, along with a gesture, and that is sufficient. It is not permissible for another person to mention the name of Allah on his behalf. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
