Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 7713 )
Q 2: I have heard in some hadiths the prohibition of slaughtering an animal that dies from a harm that befalls it , or rather, that dies on its own. Is this statement correct?
A 2:
Prohibited to you are dead animals, bloodحُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةُ وَالدَّمُ
[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]

or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the goring of horns, and those from which a wild animal has eaten, except what you [are able to] slaughter [before its death]وَالْمَوْقُوذَةُ وَالْمُتَرَدِّيَةُ وَالنَّطِيحَةُ وَمَا أَكَلَ السَّبُعُ إِلا مَا ذَكَّيْتُمْ
[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]
