The sick animal that is not desired to be eaten after slaughter: is it to be slaughtered?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 9758 )
Q1: If there is a sick beast, and if it is slaughtered, no one
wants to eat it
, is it permissible for me to slaughter it and throw it away, or should I let it die without slaughtering it?

A1: If the situation is as you described, you must slaughter this beast to preserve the wealth, and you must not leave it until it dies, because of the loss of wealth involved in that. Feed its meat to any person who is willing to eat it, or if not, feed it to animals that eat it, such as dogs, cats, and the like. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
