Q: I know that there is no contradiction in the words of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), but I read two authentic hadiths and understood them, and there was a contradiction between them. The two hadiths are: 1 - The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: .
2 - The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih Muslim 1951b . I hope you will clarify this for me, may Allah preserve you and care for you.
A: There is no contradiction between the two hadiths; because it is established that the lizard was eaten in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sahih Muslim 1949 was only a suspicion and fear that the lizard might be among those who were transformed. So when Allah revealed to our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that He did not make a progeny for the transformed, that suspicion disappeared. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

O man of the desert, verily Allah cursed or showed wrath to a tribe of Bani Isra'il and distorted them to beasts which move on the earth. I do not know, perhaps this (lizard) may be one of them. So I do not eat it, nor do I prohibit the eating of it.
