The worker taking food from the restaurant without the owner's knowledge

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 4670 )
Q: My father works in a restaurant, and the owner of this restaurant is stingy; therefore, my father - together with the restaurant workers - takes some food without the shop owner's knowledge , and my father brings home 3 kilograms of meat weekly without the shop owner's knowledge. So I said: Why do you do that, my father? He said to me: Because the restaurant owner is stingy and does not show us any kindness, and I am a student who is still studying. Is it forbidden to eat from this food? Knowing that this food stays in the house for about 4 days and we eat nothing else.
A: It is not permissible for you to eat from this food that your father takes from the restaurant secretly without the restaurant owner's knowledge, even if the owner is
stingy; because the worker is entitled only to his right of wages and the like of what was stipulated at the time of the contract. Accordingly, it is not permissible for you to eat from what your father stole from the restaurant; due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
The whole of the Muslim is sacred to his fellow Muslim, his blood, his wealth and his honor.كل المسلم على المسلم حرام دمه وماله وعرضه
Sunan Ibn Majah 3933Sahih (Darussalam)
narrated by Muslim in (his Sahih). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
