Giving a woman blood from her husband

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 419 )
Q: A woman underwent a procedure at the hospital, and the doctors determined that she needed blood. They tested her husband's blood and found it to be a match, so they took approximately a quarter of a kilogram from him for her, but it was not enough. The husband then obtained blood for his sick wife from other people. Does strengthening her with her husband's blood or the blood of others have any effect from a Sharia perspective?
A: If the sick woman or man has no way to be strengthened or treated except with the blood of another, and this becomes the specific means of rescue from the illness, and those knowledgeable in the matter are confident that he will benefit from it, then there is no harm in treating him and relieving him of his illness with the blood of another. It is not like breastfeeding, so it has no effect in establishing the prohibition of marriage in any case. Allah the Exalted said:
He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], there is no sin upon him. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
[Al-Baqarah 2:173]
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
