Q 11: Perhapsa doctor sometimes needs to lie to a patient about his medical condition, since he cannot bear for us to be frank with him, so is
the doctor sinful?
A 11: It is permissible to lie to him if the lie benefits him and does not harm him or anyone else, and if the doctor or female doctor can use euphemisms instead of a direct lie, that is safer and better. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
