Patience in the face of affliction, including illness

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 18568 )
Q2: I have a disability, but it does not prevent me from moving; my body is sound and complete, but standing is not normal, and I can only not carry heavy things, and praise be to Allah. I have permanently lost my hearing. My patience with the decree of Allah is little, so I want the verses of Allah and the hadiths of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) that give glad tidings of patience in the face of calamities, so that I may increase my hope in Allah.
A2: It is prescribed for the Muslim woman when painful calamities befall her to be patient and seek reward, and to say: (Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we return), and to guard against despair and forbidden words; for Allah the Exalted said:
but give good tidings to the patient, (156) Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return." (157) Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided.
[Al-Baqarah 2:155-157]
And it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
If any servant (of Allah) who suffers a calamity says:" We belong to Allah and to Him shall we return; O Allah, reward me for my affliction and give me something better than it in exchange for it," ' Allah will give him reward for affliction, and would give him something better than it in exchange.
Sahih Muslim 918b
narrated by Muslim , and it is authentic from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
Strange are the ways of a believer for there is good in every affair of his and this is not the case with anyone else except in the case of a believer for if he has an occasion to feel delight, he thanks (God), thus there is a good for him in it, and if he gets into trouble and shows resignation (and endures it patiently), there is a good for him in it.
Sahih Muslim 2999
narrated by Muslim . And from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Trials will not cease afflicting the believing man and the believing woman in their self, children, and wealth, until they meet Allah without having any sin.
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2399Hasan (Darussalam)
narrated by al-Tirmidhi and he said: Good and authentic.
As I advise you, O sister, to supplicate to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) and to sincerely seek refuge in Him to remove from you the harm that afflicts you, while taking the permissible means, for Allah has not sent down a disease without sending down a cure for it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
